Cool. Well even if you don't use it, I hope it's just a matter of inserting a Maxima's navigation DVD or something like that. I couldn't get my nav going in my Chaser, so I don't like your chances.
-
Looks awesome Jimbo. I love the "frumpy" arse btw. No spoiler needed, but I bet it'll still look good with one. Have you worked out how to get the TV going here? How about navigation too? Does Nissan have some local maps you can upload?

I have noticed that they are different from the Work ones, as the studs that go around the edge stop on every spoke on the knockoffs. I'll try and see both in person before I make any decision. $4500 vs $1900 (or lower) is a big difference though. I don't really know what offsets my car needs, but the JZX110 was listed as needing this from the Work website. I'd assume the 100 is the same: Model Holes and PCD Front Wheel Tyres Rear Wheel Tyres JZX110 5H-114.3 19×8.0JJ+38 225/35 19×9.0JJ+45 245/35 The fronts wouldn't be deep dish, but the backs would be apparently.

It's a fairly loud car too, so they'd be noticed pretty easily if they were joyriders. Hope you get it back, Matt. All thieves should be shot.

I suppose it depends on the quality. I can't see them being so dodgy that they'd fall apart, although I have heard 1 or 2 horror stories about shoddy mags. And yeah, they do look damn good in the shadow chrome.
-
Yeah, Work certainly aren't known for being cheap. They make good rims though. I'll have to do a bit of research on them before I even consider getting them. Thanks for the help. Cheers, Michael
-
Thanks guys. I can't believe how fast your responses were! Even if they are ripoffs, I'll check them out to see if I like them in person. Being cheaper because they're ripoffs is good for me too Cheers, Michael

Hi all, I found a pic of these mags a while back, and now I'm considering getting them (if they're cheap enough). Can anyone identify them? I've tried searching all over the net and can't find them. Even just a brand would help. Cheers, Michael

R34 Gtt Headlights - Projector Or Reflector?
dojobi replied to Manwh0re's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
There shouldn't be any glare since it has the correct housing, but you won't get the sharp cutoff as it's not a projector. If they did something a little dodgy when they modified the bulb holder base so that it's sitting in a different position, you might get a weird light pattern. This shouldn't be the case though. -
Whens The New Camry (hsv Killer) Coming Out?
dojobi replied to GTS_300_Coupe's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Chasers haven't been sold since 2001, so as nice a car as they are, it would have to be a newer model, like the Mark X. Even the JZX110 which was a Mark II is no longer sold. Not that this is a bad thing though, as the Mark X looks awesome and has some nice specs. No turbos though I still can't see why people think they'd cost too much to sell here btw. A base Chaser sold for similar money to a base Camry in Japan. -
Why Is Torque Sooo Low On Gtst's
dojobi replied to Smurf's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
Nissan fixed that with their Neo engines in the R34. It was up to 363Nm by the end. It's just because they've got a very primitive form of VVT in the R33s I think. It's just on or off, not continuously variable. They also don't run as much boost as the WRX or Evo. If you compare a 94 WRX to a 94 R33, it's closer. 270Nm for the WRX and 294Nm for the R33 - and the rex is running a lot more boost. Also, as grigor said, it makes that torque lower down the rev range. -
That's awesome. Thanks for the link.

Your Experience In Non-skyline Sports Cars

When I was about 7 I was taken for a ride in some old Lamborghini. It seemed fast as hell at the time, but it probably wasn't. The best thing about it was the noise. I think my love of cars came from that day. -
Now that's quick.

I think 12s are definitely the new 13s. You can tell just by the way you personally feel now vs how you felt a few years ago. e.g. I don't consider a 13s car to be a genuinely fast car, whereas I definitely did when I first bought my R33 in 2001.
