  1. Hey guys, Got a bit of an issue in my 32. It's running a fairly stock rb20 and has been running fine until recently. The problem occurs when the car has been driven for sometime, parked for a while, and then turned on again. It seems the engine doesn't get spark, so it turns over but dies straight away. Initially I thought it could be my leaky injectors, however the problem still occurs. However, the car is still somewhat drive able and holds idle at 1.5k rpm. When driving like this, the engine tends to slightly misfire, and even backfires occasionally. Researching online, a few people who had similar symptoms pointed towards the ignitor module failing. However, I'm thinking that since the issue seems to only occur when the engine is warm, that it may be the coil packs playing up. Would there be any way to check these parts before I go out and spend a bit of cash to get some replacements? Hopefully some of you guys can point me in the right direction. Regards, Henry
  2. Hi all, Just need some advice and info about a few problems regarding door locking mechanisms on my 32. Since I bought it, key central locking has never worked (no remote/alarm). At the same time, everytime I open the driver side door, the cabin light does not turn on, while if I open the passenger side, the light turns on. I've also noticed that the driver side door doesn't fully close (sticks out a little), but still locks. I've had problems where I would unlock the driver door, but as I go to open it, the door would still be locked. I'm planning on opening the door cards and having a look, but if anyone has any advice, please drop a comment or inbox me. I really want to get my central locks working.. Also I've realised my passenger side window switch has a problem as well. The switch allows the window to go down, but not up. However, when I use the driver window controls to bring it up, it works. Would this be a broken switch? Cheers guys.
  3. Hey all, Not sure if I'm posting in correct place so mods feel free to move it. But yeah, pretty much my car randomly broke down the other day. Saw the cat overheat light come on and thought it was my cat, but I've since removed the exhaust and cat, yet it's still flashing. After researching the symptoms online I found out it doubles as a CEL. So first thing I did was try to put my ECU into diagnostic mode. Discovered I had an OEM blitz tuned ECU, yet after turning the screw clockwise and anticlockwise a few times, nothing really happened. It only has a red led if it changes anything. So right now it cranks and I can hear the fuel pump priming but no spark. I did manage to get it started once when the CEL seemed to reset, however it ran horribly for 5 secs and shut itself off. I checked my coil packs and sparkies only to find the spark plugs were just a little black. Probably from running a little rich though. Anyway, I need help. I can't use diagnostic mode (or maybe I'm doing it wrong) and I don't want to be spending money on things that don't need fixing. If anyone has had a similar experience please share below how you fixed it. Thanks guys.

  7. Hey guys. This is my first post so I'm hoping its in the right section. If not, then mods please feel free to move it. I've been searching for an r32 for about a month now and been doing rego checks and found something that's puzzled me.. I'll looked at 3 cars that caught my eye and did three checks. First one was an 89 gts4. And when I did the rego check it told me it was registered under an r33 sedan. Second was a clean 32 gtst (which actually sold before I had a chance to drop a deposit) which was registered under a 32 coupe. The most recent one I'm actually about to go and see is also a 32 gtst but its registered under a 1991 skyline sedan. All the details actually match (rego, year manufactured and all that). But the fact that the title doesn't match puts me off. So can anyone shed some info about this? Should I stay away from these examples or are they alright to buy? Thanks
