    R32 bits

R32 bits Clearing out the shed: under dash aircon unit, front power steer rack, engine under tray, fan shroud, wiper motor and arms, condenser, 3" cat, caster rods… Free at Gympie, goes in a hole next week.
  2. Car was sold to the initial enquiry. Mods can delete post. Thankyou.
  3. The standard setup is designed just for this purpose. There's a thermo switch in the bottom tank of the radiator and when coolant temp exceeds about 90 deg C it switches on the thermo fan.

No connection to the ecu although if your ecu has that capability, you could have it do the switching, a bit out of my league though.

    Regards.

  4. Factory thermo fan comes on when aircon is activated. A diode is fitted between the aircon relay's output across to the trigger of the thermo fan relay. They're mounted beside one another in the engine bay fuse box so a simple task. You'll find the aircon runs cooler especially in city traffic.
  5. Sold pending delivery arrangements. Thanks to those showing interest.
  6. 1990 R32 GTR $16000. Rego’d to Feb 17. I’m the 2nd owner, had her for 6 years and done no miles as she lives under tarps in the shed. http://s200.photobucket.com/user/geoffree/media/IMG_4918_zps28zlf33x.jpg.html My plan was the keep her forever but circumstances have changed, so there you go. Previous owner also did no miles, another old codger who tinkered with her in his garage for 5-years while the daily lived out on the street. Has the usual dash bubble and yes the 125,000 on the clock doesn’t match with wear on steering wheel etc. Didn’t worry me, she’s a 25 year old import after all. Paint looks good, resprayed by previous owner, some stone chips. New battery, tyres like new. Has a towbar for the Hobie, NOT for anything heavy or you’d tear the arse right off. Everything except the clock works, HICAS, ATTESA all the original Nissan gadgetry is still there, I wanted to keep her stock. Has HID’s on low beam with relays and diode so low stays on with high. Aircon is cold and has the thermo fan mod. Still has the boost restrictor in the yellow hose. Engine runs sweet as, but she’s worn. Running around 145-150psi cold and down to 135-145psi hot. No smoke, gets Valvoline synthetic oil changes even though the old stuff is brand new. Stock gauge goes way up to 6+ on cold start, drops to 4 once warm. Will sometimes go low and then return, clearly needs that new sender I bought, but haven’t got around to fitting. Previous owner had the cam belt etc done but she had cam seal leaks by the time I got her home so I re-did all that, no leaks now. Car hasn’t seen over 4000 from me, I short shift into 5th at 60 and away she pulls. Interior is tidy, has scored some new plastic trims on birthdays, driver’s mat is worn but I’ve got spares. Came with an M80 noise maker and a club steering wheel lock. Basically a very standard car, straight chassis rails, no modifications apart from exhaust. Comes with odd spare bits/pieces collected over the years. PFc and boost kit, never been fitted. Have a set of silicon coolant hoses that I also never got around to fitting. 7. Probably long gone but those muffler hangers look 33 to me, not 32.
  8. Looking for a cat back, R32 GTR exhaust. Queensland.

    R32 Ash Tray

Looking for an R32 ash tray. Anyone?
  11. I just checked my gorgeous niece's latest music video. Man this music game is a hard slog, have to be bloody keen. http://musicismymuse.com.au/premiere-seras-debut-music-video-doubt-around/
  12. Ben and GTSBoy are dead right. N/A or turbo makes no difference, you must have a non-return valve either built into the booster or in the vacuum supply line. Photo shows what I thought your car had, valve built into the vacuum hose connection.
  13. You're correct, 32 GTR and that's an external check valve plus there's another for the clutch. Haven't seen a booster with an external valve since the olden days. Caught again!!!
  14. No need for an extra valve, the vacuum hose connection at the booster has the non return valve incorporated. Are you sure the booster was OK prior to the transplant?
  15. 300-400kw, that's pretty fast. 25-year old brakes would be my first upgrade.
