  1. Hello all, I need a daily and thought an R32 GTS would be ideal. Something stock or tastefully modified. Would prefer in Vic, but am open to interstate purchase as well for the right car. Please pm. William
  2. Did anybody watch A Current Affair tonight. They did a segment all about winding back of kms with Sports Auto Group questioned over their cars. My gripe with the story is that there was no attempt to ask the car seller (Sports Auto Group in this case) for an auction proof of purchase by the show's producers. Instead, they just assumed that the kms are being changed before the purchase in Japan. They even suggested that the car seller in Australia cant be held responsible - this is wrong and the seller would have been provided with the documentation on purchase. The cars are purchased at auction by the car seller (on behalf of an agent) and then sold on to consumers in Australia. The kms are clearly shown on the auction purchase documents and should match the de-registration documents. It is clear that the car sellers in Australia are responsible for the changing of the odometers. If the car doesn't have auction sheets and de-registration certificates, buyers should walk away. What's your thoughts on the program? Positive or negative for importers? William
  3. Did anybody watch A Current Affair tonight. They did a show all about winding back of kms, and guest who starred in the segment!
  4. Just saw that A Current Affair is running a story on cars with dodgey kms from Japan on Monday!
  5. I havent had anything to do with them, but if they cant supply an auction sheet and deregistration certificate, walk away.
  6. Probably the shop with the worst reputation for winding clocks back. Have a search on these forums and fdrx7.com forum. If these cant supply the auction sheet and deregistration paperwork, walk away.
  7. Looks terrific. Which workshop are you getting it complied at? I saw a black Crown Estate at Revolution Imports a few weeks back.Looked very nice. I too am thinking about getting one of these to haul the family around. It seems like a good compromise. There are very few of these around, and a lot less are Wagons. Have you been on Aus-vip? Plenty of Crown owners popping up.
  8. Picked mine up yesterday! Not registered yet though. Looks to be in fantastic condition.
  9. When do you leave? But a pre-89 car while your there and bring it back!
  10. Got told today that my car is plated and ready to be picked up.Will get it on Saturday!
  11. My car showed up in the check menu on Dotars today!
  12. Remember you will want to register it in your state, and you want to make sure any mods arent going to cause issues with roadworthiness. Personally, Im not a fan of the LHD. I also think it would sit as well as an investment which is part of the reason why the blue one you posted is so reasonably priced. Prices for these cars in Japan are crazy at the moment. Probably get better value for money in Aus.
