  5. i had a gt starlet years ago. ran a 12.9 at wsid on street tyres with only the following mods trd lsd new manifold with wrx turbo to suit full exhaust fuel reg fuel pump dont know bout you guys but for those mods thats pretty dam quick. cheap awesome little car in my opinion
  6. before it was cutting boost and running a bit sluggish but thought it was just a problem with the factory boost control. had restrictor removed on the standard boost control also. so i replaced it with a ebc and now its boosting properly. ran new lines for everything so its setup properly. the car will be whilest running low boost(.7bar) and than after a while it feels like it will detune, but still running same boost now i changed to a hks evc. but happens almost staight away if running a higher boost(aprox bout .9 - 1 bar) the plugs looked good when i got the car compression tested.
  7. if it is detuning itself as it feels like it is, how do you find out why and how would you fix the problem??
  8. once you restart the car it fixes itself. cant hear it detonating and im only running .7 to .8 bar. everything is pretty much stock with a few breathing mods. all the hoses are fine and everything is in order so no leaks anywhere.
  9. got a 33gtr with exhaust, arc cooler, pods and a evc 4 just put in. and running just under 1 bar. was having a few issues with the boost dropping off before but now the evc is installed the boost doesnt drop off. the car will be running sweet but than it will just feel all sluggish and not go like it usually does. notice a big power loss i've searched and read something about rich and retard and wondering if this would apply to the gtr also. cant think of anything else, just thinking this might be my problem. any help would be great, thanks
  10. thanks mate yeah trying everything we can think of without any luck. any help would be fantastic looking into how we connected the new boost control pretty ure thats our prob. very noob of us
  11. hey guys i've just purchased myself a r33 gtr and havent been happier, but now im starting to have a few problems related to the boost. every so often the car will be running full boost (near the 7 on stock gauge) and suddenly it would just drop down to just over 3 and stay there and wont go back to normal. it has me stumped and really starting to get to me. last thing i want is problems on a new car i've just bought. its a stock gtr with a cat back exhaust, pods and a pair of bovs. ive checked all the cooling pipes and lines no smoke blowing out exhaust or oil in cooler lines checked the cat changed the fuel filter put a hks evc 5 in and got rid of standard boost control(which boost line is the in and out also?? the one with the yellow line) and i still cant fix the boost problem any help would be much appreciated thanks
