  1. got a set of 2nd hand arias forged pistons (1 has some detonation but hasnt gone into the ring lands) has brand new file fit rings from ariasand brand new set of cosworth bearings and are fitted to rb26det rods with arp rod bolts paid over 700 all up asking $550. rb25 pink label afm with pod filter and 45* silicon bend to 4 inch $100 brand new set of rb3025/rb3026 cp pistons, was going to build one but rather build another 25, all there 3.405"bore size and 8:2:1 compression ratio with rb25 head $800 neg or swap for brand new cp pistons to suit a rb25. if your itterested send me a email to [email protected] as i dont use this forum much anymore cheers tim

  3. ok so it says here to install these cams with intake/exhaust bucket lifts of .044"inch/ .015"inch at tdc for suggested intake/exhaust centrelines of 108*/116* respectively. use minnium valve spring loads: 70lbs on the seat, 195 lbs at full lift,280 lbs/inch spring rate approx. i got no fing idea what i got to buy now, anyone got an idea or can put me onto someone who would know? tim
  4. used correct lube, did run them in. yes still are std lifters, sure cam said they will be fine to use, but now im getting the issue with them. could i get away with getting a new set of supertech upgraded springs or do i need lifters as well? was considering going solid but alot of money to spend
  5. ok so got some custom grind cams for my car 285.14 duration intake 276.24 duration exhaust 0.35921 peak cam lift intake 0.35728 peak exhaust cam lift. now my issue is this, when i give it a some stick i get lifter noise and in some cases i get it missfireing sounds like a lifter isnt working correctly. do i need bigger valve springs suited to the increase in lift? cheers tim
  6. ok so update, pulled the coils out and cleaned the contact points and covered them iin liquid tape,also regaped plugs down to 0.60mm, reset the timeing to 15 below, runs alot better now, can actually drive it to work, reset the tps and took it for a drive, blowing massive amount of black smoke while crusing and idleing, running 2.4 bar fuel pressure, any ideas why its so rich at idle? also when its cold it backfires at idle, fairly loud aswell,dosnt take long to fill the house up with smoke, housemate dosnt like that at 8am lol
  7. ok well today i replaced the fuel filter threw some injecter cleaner in the tank, cleaned the maf out. now got it running a bit better, can actually drive it to work thankgod. have a mate with a smoke machine ile throw that in the intake 2moz and see if theres any boost leaks. coils im going to pull them out and coat them in some liquid tape to make sure there not arching out in saying that i carnt see and sparks at night from them so may aswell clean the contact of the coils as well. at the moment its running like crap on light throttle backfires while crusing, but once its got 7 psi in it it pulls f**king hard. at idle you can see the black smoke puffing out the exhaust is currently running 2 bar fuel pressure at idle

  9. so after about 3 months i have my cefiro running again, so current specs are custom grind cams,gt35r turbo running 7psi and a 4 inch to 3 inch reducer until i get the money to get the ems fitted and tuned,forward facing plenumwith 4 inch throttle body, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, 38psi fuel pressure with a walbro 255 intank pump. current issue is under load it will chug and not want to rev, have set the tps up with .5 v closed 4.1 v full open,free reving it will rev fine all the way to the liminter but sometimes it has a flat spot but can rev through it. im wondering if a)afm is to close to inlet of turbo, is about a foot away atm but was further away and still did the same issue. b) injectors are full of shit from sitting in open air for so long. c) i do have a air leak at the manafold to head but carnt see this causing it to run the way it does. d) coil pack issue, has new plugs gapped down to .8mm, going to pull the coils out 2moz and give them a good coat of liquid rubber. just need the car to drive to work and back for a week or 2 while the other car is getting fixed. cheers tim
  10. so after about 3 months i have my cefiro running again, so current spec's are set of custom grind cams, gt35r turbo running 7psi to 3 inch reducer to use afm (untill i get the money to get the ems fitted up) forward facing plenum with 4 inch throttle body, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, 38psi fuel pressure with a walbro 255 intank pump. current issue is under load it will hunt chug and not want to rev, have set the tps up with .5 closed 4.1 open. free reving it it will rev fine all the way to the liminter, some times it gets a small flat spot but you can rev through that. im wondering if a) afm is to close to turbo????? is about a foot away from the intake but it was doing this before when it was 2 foot away from it. b) injectors are full of rust and shit from sitting for so long. c) i do have a air leak at the manafold to head but carnt see it causing it miss this bad. cheers tim, just need the car to run good for the week while the other vehicle is getting fixed
  11. so got my new motor in and was having this same issue before, car will crank for 1-2 mins before it starts, during which time i have to pump the f**k out of the throttle evertually it starts fireing. have had the car at a sparky's and he said there may be a wire that needs to have 12v given to it while cranking to get it started, any idea which wire this is, is a stock ecu at the moment.\ tim
  12. mmmmmmm thats what mine is set at, still have troouble starting it when its cold, have to pump the throttle like crazy to get it to fire and even then it sound like it only just catches, runs like crap for a couple seconds then idles, just cleaned out the aac and blocked off the iac as i dont have any plugs going to it as its in a cefiro, should i run 2 new wires to this and run them to the computer????? that could be my hard starting and high idle ?????
  13. so tested my rb25det tps tonight, im getting 14.18 negitive 5.78 postive. and my signal wire is getting .63v at throttle closed and fully adjusted as far as it will go. at full throttle im getting 3.78 volts, is my tps stuffed? got a 4 inch throttle body on the forward facing plenum etc stock ecu at the moment etc. any ideas??????
