  1. Wow. Absolutely unreal. Just read the whole thread. I bet you have some awesome stories and some unreal memories from the trip(s). Congratulations.
  2. saw a black 300c with the plates "DRG MNY" = Drug money
  3. I sold my R33 to save for a house, and now have a pulsar.... It gets very depressing at times when you go a decent drive, however the pulsar is just so much cheaper to run and maintain.... in terms of money, it was by far the most sensible decision i ever made...as a positive, i'll also save towards that gtr so much faster as well....
  4. I dont care who drives it. As long as they do it justice and finish at the top.
  5. I'm sure must people who can afford to import one, can afford to buy one off nissan.
  6. Point taken. Agreed, But you dont need 7 litres for that. Its just not a smart way to get there, in terms of being enviromentally friendly. I just think its overkill, thats all. I understand its obviously not about that, But it is the way of the future. look at all the manufactures form around the globe... Most are all about being climate friendly. Anyway, whatever gets hsv owners into a gtr must be good, all the hsv owners i know, are the most stubborn people i know.
  7. its just a joke. I'm sure 99% of readers would at the agree. Sorry if i "crossed the line". Back on topic. You would have to be a extremely loyal HSV die-hard to not think the GTR is great value for money. If anything, it will prove beyond doubt that the aussie car builders are not progressing down the right track when it comes to building a performance car. Less capacity, better performance in this case. Maybe they would get better results (sales) if they copied someone other than the yanks. Surely the days of bogans being the number one fan base are limited, especially in light of the oil crisis and the whole climate control issue. Reguardless of all that crap, I would prefer to see the GTR on the street. Living where i do, that would make the papers!
  8. I envy your position. But on a serious note, Want to do a trade? ME for one of your kids? I can feed myself and go to the toilet by myself. PM me if interested. I promise i wont mess the gtr when you take me to work in it!
  9. I took my 97 model S2 40th anni edition which i paid $20 thou for, to a yard to be quoted trade in price last year. I was told that i'd be pushing my luck to get 10 thou. My car was perfect condition, everything neat, tidy, perfect mech. yeah.... i was a bit upset. i was expecting that though, and sold it privately a month or two later for a substantial amount more than that.
  10. oh ok... i hought maybe this was an indication about my car..
  11. How is the 2nd air bag relevent? Does only the 98 model have one? My car has one.
  12. i think the mistake stamping is extremely unlikely. i asume it would be the same as all the other 40th editions. defenitely surprised if it was the only 1997 model. a lot of cars/motorbikes are built one year, released the next. , For example my dad just bought a 2007 model yamaha FJR 1300, but it was built in 2006. The R33's ceased production in march 1998. my car says august 97.
  13. Does anyone have a list or know what anniversary model skylines have ever been released.. i am more curious about the R33's, but all models are good. I have a 40th anniversary 1997 R33 GTS-T. What other "special" editions have been released?
