  1. Hiya, I'm hoping someone can tell me what bodykit is on this R32 Sedan in the video (suspect vertex?) and possibly what they think the wheel size/offset is? I know they're CR Kais not sure if they're 17 or 18, and they don't look to be the 'deep concave' version so assuming a moderate offset. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. One thing i'd be looking at, is jumping in a 308 powered LJ Torana (despite what some people on this forum think, LJ torana's are very light. lighter than 180SX infact) which would have quite the power-to-weight ratio from a FWD civic? If you get the 180SX, as least you'll know what a somewhat powerful RWD car feels like - which means you don't have to go home and tell daddy you wrapped the LJ around a pole. Yes, I'd own a 180SX over a 308 LJ anyday, but that's not the point. I know what I'd be doing..
  3. Hey guys, Just wondering what bodykits are available for an R34 GT-t sedan, and where can I get them from? Looking for something subtle, so prefer to stay away from something like URAS. Even pics would help, so I know what they look like. Also, car is silver and planning to go 18" wheels. Thanks guys =)
  4. Yeah I know it can be done on a stock motor, but when it's going to be at the track every weekend and spend more time on limiter than it spends idling - it's gotta be tough. I want the extra torque and midrange offered by extra capacity - something different too. I mean, one day I'd probably have it over 400rwhp, but when the car has nothing inside it and stiff suspension, big power is not needed for fun
  5. I am leaning towards a 26, providing I can find one cheap enough.. Does anyone know how much you can safely bore the cylinders?
  6. Hey guys, I've been thinking(never a good thing for the wallet) and I've come up with an idea of a nice torquey animal of an R32 GTS-t. I don't want monster power. 320-400rwhp would be nice. I think a GT3071R would be suffice for the power output i'm after? Now I'm sure an RB27DET(name for capacity change) can be build using an RB26 crank & 40thou pistons in an RB25DET engine. Is this correct? I was all set that'd be a good idea, but then I remembered the RB26 has itb's, solid lifters, better head design and oh oh that sound. Problem is it will be built cheap, so an RB26 would lift costs markedely.. Although how much difference is there between tired 25s/26s? I'd have to go a 25 gearbox also, so no need to fork out for a 26 cut (i realise the boxes are the same) Is the RB26 really that much better than a 25? I read somewhere back in the day Keir Wilson was producing 500nm or so in the space of 1500-2000rpm on the 1/4 mile due to the the 6 throttle bodies? that sounds FUN! Any suggestions/advice/experience welcome! Thanks edit: forgot to mention - car will be driven as a daily too, not that it really matters that much. hardcore cars are meant to be driven

  8. My 1971 Datsun 1600; Type X Blacktop SR20DET [230rwhp @ 1bar]
  9. I think if they've gone to the effort to make it a deadset GTR replica, including VIN plate, then buy it.
  10. Theres a place that hires out lambos/BMWs/mercs etc, forgot the name. But you can only hire them out based on age. Need to be like 34yo to get the lambo.
  11. You do realise the smaller capacity RB26s are king of the dyno charts in Japan? Also, 8000RPM isn't as fun as 11000
  12. Just think of your skyline as the sporty looking version of an auto ecotec 6 commodore. Most sports cars will chop you.
  13. Yeah but even if it hits 130k it's still a bargain. The car would cost about 70'000 at the cheapest. (Remembering the colour/V spec II) and then you have the brakes which would cost about 15k, suspension im guessing is at least 10k, the motor would need 25k in parts to handle the 800HP and then you got all the bolt on stuff like the T88 uleh. Gearbox would cost 15k at the least. Diffs etc. For 150 you couldn't build an R34 GTR like this.
