  1. He caught me a bit off guard haha. I'm used to Wakefield where you just drive through the gate and nobody says anything. All good, now I know for next time
  2. Have just moved down from Canberra so decided to come out today for a looksee and hopefully meet a few people......security guard wouldn't let me through the gate and being new here didn't know what to do lol epic fail. Will try come to the next round. Haven't got my 32 down here yet but keen to make some new friends to get on the track with eventually
  3. Wouldn't have to travel dude, he's located in Canberra too. I'll make sure to point him this way
  4. ^^^^^ lol so helpful. Nice way to welcome a newbie. Anyway, a mate of mine is looking to sell his factory manual 31. I'll point him this way so he can get in contact. Where abouts are you located? Cheers
  5. Hell yes! Glad it's all finally going in after all the anticipation over the last couple of months. Good work dude
  6. Hey mate, 32 looks awesome! Very impressive. My first 32 was an NA and I love it to bits. Ended up giving it to my dad when I moved onto a 32 gtr before going back to a 32 gtst. His only has very basic mods and is still running the little rb20de but with close to 230,000km on it now it loves being thrashed round Wakefield! What lap times are you getting out of it? Hopefully we bump into you at wakie when we've got both our 32's there. Cheers, Drew
  7. Hey guys, I have a pair of 16x8 +33 lightweight 5 spoke rims with 225/45 advan AD08R tyres on them that I need to get rid of. Tyres are 1000km old including 1 trackday. I kept them when I sold my mr2 a couple of months back but unfortunately the rims don't clear the brakes on my 32 and I've got 18's now so these are useless to me. Looking for $300 for rims and tyres together or I can separate rims for $100 and tyres for $250. Feel free to PM or SMS with any questions or for pics. Number is 0433414424. Cheers, Drew
  8. Spotted. Douchebag in a white 33 gtst s2 deciding it would be fun to show of and 'drift' around me while I was waiting at a T intersection next to maccas in Weston creek. He proceeded to spin out and stopped the rear of his car a few inches away from the rear of my 32
  9. Rims are looking really good on the 4 door Eiji. Glad they went to a good home
  10. I saw that you're thinking about front splitter/undertray options, any luck with that? Me and dad are also starting to design something for the front end of my car to try and bring the times down a little more. Basically trying to keep my car in line with clubsprint time attack rules because i'll be back at NSW Time Attack next year and will also be looking to enter WTAC next year
  11. Thanks guys Wing is a genuine C-West adjustable twin blade. Managed to pick it up for $50 lol. Dad had a spare bootlid with the holes welded up so we mounted the wing to that and i just swap bootlids when i head to the track. Thanks I'm a big fan of the rsr's. I'm confident i can dip into the 1:10's in the next track day or 2. Was so close at time attack. Forgot to mention the car only has about 195rwkw
  12. Hey guys and girls! Thought i'd chime in and say hi. My names Drew. used to be on here under another user name but had problems with it so decided to make a new one seeing as I've found my way back into a skyline after a couple of years toying around in a little MR2. Here is my new 32 Gtst. Its very basic. Coilovers, kinugawa turbo, full exhaust and lots of little things taken care of. Have only had it almost 3 months now but about 2 weeks after getting my hands on it a few friends managed to convince me to enter NSW Time Attack at Wakefield. So a quick chat with my dad (read: Crew Chief) and it was all systems go! Installed an oil cooler for good measure. Grabbed some new rims, CST Hyper Zero's in 18x9.5 +15 all round and chucked some 255/35 RSR's on. Then off we headed for 2 days of track time. We decided that instead of going out with the mindset of 'I need to win' I should think about nothing more than getting on track in the new car and having as much fun as possible while doing it. In my little N/A MR2 my best time round Wakefield was a 1:14.5. By the end of day 2 at time attack i'd managed a 1:11.1 so came away extremely happy with my new PB. Anyway, enough of me rambling. here's some picks of my new toy and also one of mine and dads cars together. He's got a 32 Gts that I gave him a couple of years back. 220,000km on the clock and it just soaks up the track days with no issues at all. Thanks for reading. Hope to catch up soon. Drew
  13. At the moment I'm running 255/35/18's all round on 18x9.5 +15's using stock 32 gtst fenders. My rear fenders are flared much the same as yours and the rear tyres poke probably about 2mm. My front fenders are quite mangled now due to having to push them out so far to clear the wheel/tyre combo lol so a pair of GTR front fenders are on the cards in the next few months just to make it look neater. Alignment wise I'm running approx. -2.5degrees all round and ride height is approx. 80mm at the lowest point of the exhaust. With all of that the tyres didn't scrape the even the tiniest bit at the track and I run it all exactly the same for the street as its my daily at the moment. No scraping on the street even at full lock. Anything can be done and 32 gtst guards are capable of a lot more than most people think. Kasko: Need to get you out on track with that shiny new r34 of yours
  14. Cheers, it was an awesome event and just heaps of fun to be a part of even if I did come like 4th last overall haha. A build thread is something I keep toying with the idea of but I'm not very good at documenting things with nice pictures. Plus it would be a very slow and boring thread I think as my 32 is really quite basic compared to yours. I think all you'd need for a grip day would be better tyres and an alignment tweak. At the moment I'm only using Federal RSR's and I'm a firm believer that if you're just getting into it and trying to have as much fun as possible you don't need more than the RSR's can handle. As for you letting the times down that's half the fun. Every lap you do you learn something new and start doing things better. My first track day at Wakefield my best time was a 1:22. Now 12 months and 7 track days later I set a new PB at NSW Time Attack of a 1:11. It's all about learning as much as you can while having a much fun as possible I say
  15. Loving this thread mate. My dad and myself (we each have 32's) are both watching with great interest. Would be very interested to see how this beast handles some grip track days. Cheers, Drew
