  1. Hey guys, putting my intake side back together, ive gathered enough random photos to know where the coolant hoses go once the stock mani is back together, just wondering if anyone has any pictures of factory coolant line setup under the intake? Ive got these couple of photos, on the first photo, where do the soft hoses that come of the 'y' hardline coming behind the head from the turbo go to? Also the hardline marked in red? Any info would be great thanks a bunch!
  2. And yeah I fitted the side plug back straight away, might be worth undoing it again and see if it drops any for peace of mind.
  3. Yeah filled it through the shifter hole bud, a friend has told me that 3.5 to 4.2 litres is about what I'm looking for.
  4. Hey guys now I know there's heaps of threads listing the capacity of an rb20 box,, however the reason I ask is that I took the side plug out of the box and filled it from the top till it started seeping out the side and it took about 4 litres before it did that. Is this normal or is there way too much in there? Cheers
  5. no problem mate, might even have to cut the shifter hole a wee bit for a better fitment/feel. Think that issue would be less of an issue if I simply install a short shifter however.
  6. Legend my friend I Thankyou! Was panicking for a bit haha. Also last question does this dust boot fit up or am I going to need to use a different one?
  7. Hey guys doing a manual conversion on my r32 rb20det. Put the gearbox in and used an s13 crossmember. However when i put the tailshaft on and bolted the centre to the car it (picture 1) seemed to have a gap on the tranny end? Secondly, in the second picture the shifter hole doesn't line up to the centre, is this normal? Cheers for any help.
  8. Yeah you're right defintetly don't want that shit in my new radiator. When I say rust in the galley I meant like chunks of it I could spoon out with my finger hahah
  9. Hey guys pretty general question regarding my rb20 gtst. So I've just done my Welsh plugs as they rusted out due to my radiator being old and rusty, also doing a manual conversion and putting a new radiator in with new hoses etc. Whilst I was doing my Welsh plugs I noticed a shit tonne of rust inside the galley if you will. I'm wondering when I get everything back on if it would be wise to do a radiator flush with flushing products or would it be too risky to unsettle everything inside? Just want the radiator system to be as clean as possible after the new radiator is in. Cheers.
  10. Hey guys i need some advice asap, Been pissing out the coolant from the block and I suspect the welsh plug has given way, passenger side next to the turbo. RB20DET I need to know how many plugs are on that side and also the sizes if anyone knows. I hear brass is the way to go? Any help is appreciated as i need to order the parts asap before the weekend begins. Thanks in advance
  11. Hey guys, need some advice, Have a r32 gtst in auto, need to change it to manual asap before i tear my hair out. Found this on ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/JDM-NISSAN-SKYLINE-R34-RB25DET-MANUAL-CONVERSION-SILVIA-180SX-RB20-R32-R33-A31-/181201223756?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a306f404c (r34 gtt rb25 manual box) Was wondering if putting this in my car is possible, and if so can someone give me information on problems i may encounter or a bit of a guide even if possible. Dont want to be second guessing myself and want to make sure its not more trouble than its worth. Thanks in advance
  12. hey guys, sorry to bring this thread up again but just an update. Took the old tyres off which had been worn bald in the inner edge due to running -2 camber up the front. Replaced them with continentals and problem solved! Just had to wait for a rainy day to test them. Thanks again for all the information guys
  13. appreciate the replies guys helps alot thanks!
  14. ^awesome man gives me decent hope haha changin them asap
  15. Cheers for the replies guys appreciate it. Checked the front tyres, a brand called kinforrest? Never heard of it so I'm assuming they're rubbish and I'll replace them as soon as possible. Approx 60 % worn with more wear on the inside. Will ask my mechanic friend to take a good look at it once new tyres and wheel balance and alignment has been done.
