  1. Yep that seems fair haha. I might ask around about the joining of the pipes, but I dare say you're right, and Ill end up having to get a series 1 compressor. Cheers heaps for your help
  2. Thanks for your reply. Hmm thats what I thought, but didn't want to hear lol. Yeah I'd rather not go down the series 1 compressor route because I've already bought and put in the series 2 one, but I might have to. Would there be any way to join them where the rubber hose in between the two ends goes? It's kind of hard to explain. Im not sure if its crimped on or how they join it?
  3. Hey guys, I've got a series 1, and I installed a series 2 compressor (was told it was series 1 when I bought it) and didn't notice the different size connectors until it didn't hold vacuum! lol. I was just going to get a series 2 hose and put it on there, but by the looks of those pictures, the firewall end of the hose is different as well? Do you think I would be able to take it to someone and they could cut off the ends and swap them over? Or would there be another way around this? Also I only noticed it leaking from that one hose, but can anyone confirm if the other hose is still the same? Its the one from the compressor to receiver drier (or to the condenser, I can't remember off the top of my head) Thanks in advance!
  4. I signed up purely to say thanks for this! I got my car 2 weeks ago and this has been driving me crazy, I was ready to pull the dash out! All went pretty smoothly, the hardest part as other have said is that back bolt. I dropped it and nearly lost it when trying to do it up, but managed to get it back. Also I lost that little copper strip, but it still works fine without it. Another problem I had was that one of my other smaller cogs had a missing tooth, but I worked out that it doesn't quite do a full revolution, so I positioned it right and its all good, until another one breaks off Now just to fix my actual air-conditioning Thanks again!
