Hey guys just recently purchased a nismo short shifter, but having a little bit of trouble removing the old one, im not too sure one i get to the stage of the c-clip, is it just the c-clip, or is that whole alloy surround coming off with it? any help would be greatly appreciated !!!

ive replaced the valve due to shitty idle but it seems that whenever my ac/headlights are on i still get a bad idle, the valve isnt compensating for the load from anything, any ideas anyone ? -
