  1. Damage is shown in the pics and described in the first post, it didn't even change the wheel alignment so it was pretty minor. - Going in for a quote at a proper panel shop on Friday, I'll let you know. PM sent to johnbarry.
  2. It may sell beforehand, but best offer by the end of September gets it.
  3. I would consider an NA 33, but I plan on spending 5k or less on a work car, hence the requirement of 10k cash if doing a swap. I'd prefer a straight out sale, but swap + cash can be very convenient for both parties. Car also has an alloy radiator + silicone hoses
  4. Forgot to mention... Exhaust Trust split front pipe Highflow metal cat Exhaust (Trust from memory) If doing a trade + cash would want at least 10k cash, just getting an NA cheapie.
  5. What: 89 R32 GTR Location: Brisbane KMs: 86xxx Contact: Paul 0411 870 159 or through here. Dollars: 15k. (Few recent invoices - 6.5k for hp, 2.5k suspension, 3k wheels/tyres, etc - it's all done) Going back to an NA cheapie for mobile business. (May look at trades + cash) At a glance: Just gave it a full gonig over so it's exactly how I want it, stops - goes - and handles properly. Probably only 2000km on everything. 350awhp (fresh tune on 4WD dyno) Vipec ECU, twin plate clutch (very easy to use), fresh brakes, N1 turbos, Bilsteins/full Whiteline setup, 17x9.5 Origin wheels, etc. Did timing belt/idlers/water pump/100k service while it was all happening. Factory wing + a sub/amp comes with the car. Condition: She's not about to win any shows, but you can get straight in and go for it. This is for the person who values performance and setup. I built this as a tough do-it-all street car, but running my own mobile business = time for another boring car. Does daily duties with ease. Had a minor nudge on the left side, wheel alignment was not affected. Pics show the action. Just a bit of lovin on the 1/4's and left edge of rear bar. Been like that for a bit, doesn't bother me, but priced to take this into account. Has since had another wheel alignment to fine tune front end settings. Few little things done recently like tie rod end/rack end/rack boots. Pre-existing parts are noted, everything else has just been put on within the last couple of thousand kms. 6. I've read through so many threads on HICAS removal/heavy steering, and found no solid answers. Not cool. R32 GTR - There is a BR,B,BR/Y (for those that don't know wiring diagrams - 3 pin plug with Brown/Black/Brown+Yellow strip wires) plug that goes to the HICAS solenoid in the engine bay, below the plenum. Black goes to ground circuit, other 2 go to HICAS computer. Page 795 of PDF service manual, top left, W-5 diagram. I've since ripped the HICAS solenoid etc out - This is the only change to the sensors/HICAS wiring since the lock bar went in and everything was normalish. So: How do I wire it so the HICAS computer still thinks the solenoid is there and not blow the HICAS ecu up or anything undesirable? As far as I can tell, this is the only change that would be affecting the HICAS computer, when the lock bar was installed everything worked as usual. Actually, the steering used to go between slightly heavier/light at low speeds depending on which way the wind was blowing, but anyway... Now it's doing the usual proper heavy/nice and light thing. Good times.
  7. Looks like you're right guys, apparently many solenoids come unmarked or with the same colour wires coming off because in basic plunger type solenoids the polarity does not matter. Just an electromagnet, when polarity is reversed it still operates in the same direction. Thanks guys.
  8. I've had a faulty unit repaired in the past and it worked perfectly. Not sure who did it, was a long time ago.
  9. Yeah just ripped the HICAS out and turns out this gets in the way... Might try your dodgy arse method if something doesn't come up soon. Thanks for nothing
  10. Looking at the solenoid from the rear of the car, facing forward. Easy to see if you lie down with your head just behind right front wheel and look 45deg forward under car. Power steering solenoid has 2 wires coming out of it (side by side) going to a connector attached to a HICAS line mount, then joins the loom under the plenum. Wiring diagram has 1 black, 1 black/yellow. My connector has the correct wires going to the loom. P/S solenoid has 2 black wires. Great, now I don't know which is which. Can anyone tell me which goes to the black/yellow wire? Left or right? Done heaps of searching this morning and found zilch. Thanks, slip.
  11. Sounds like the plan. Going to try and find something a bit nicer than the flatblade screwdriver, off to get a new silicon hose now... Thanks man.
  12. Pulled the FMIC piping that goes from the front right wheel well to the plenum yesterday. It doesn't want to go back in, getting it in one silicon hose means the other is nigh on impossible to attach. Trying to think of an item that is flat, won't cut the piping, and strong enough to use as a shoe horn/tyre lever style setup to work the final hose on. Anyone got any hot tips? HKS piping if that makes any difference. Bastard thing, never as easy as it should be.
  13. jimki - Doesn't have a size listed on it, it's the standard size, not extra large etc. I'm 183cm/6ft and 85kg - friends both larger and smaller have sat it in and fit well. Fits a wider range of people than the Sparco Evo I had previously. Anyone who wants to test it for fit is welcome to come round.
