93 R32 Gtr Street Monster!

Recommended Posts

Hi All, Been writing this one out for a while now that I have internet back , I can start pasting all my crap down :)

Names Jake.
Some of you may have seen me attend most of the Jdm + antilag cruises before my engine went pewpew, Or just generally driving around SoR , Used to have a 33gtst as a 2nd year sparky, sold that in my 4th year and bought my 1993 R32 GTR I'm now 2 years into being a tradesmen and wouldnt trade it for anything else. When I got it we found the entire cooling system was gone to shit the previous owner did not take any care of it whatsoever not naming any names off here, The radiator was 90% clogged, the coolant in the reservoir was all muddy after a 10-15 minute drive the oil temperature would sit anywhere to 100-115 and would usually result in boiling coolant, I got it checked out and also found the coolant lines to both turbos were 100% blocked as well as most of the cooling channels in the block tried flushing and just about everything else we could think of. We did our best with it and gave it a little detune down to 360hp at all 4's for the time being, while also replacing all the hoses and main coolant line, new radiator etc. The oil temperature still rose to about 100-110 after a 20 minute drive, We only delayed the inevitable however it wasn't doing to bad could only use it for sprints to the shops and cruises and meets that were nearby.

I've made alot of tough decisions,But I decided to get an entire new engine built from top to bottom with no cheap corner cutting anywhere, Convert to a big tough single and add in even more mods to make it an absolute street monster, I wan't to make this car live up to its name The True Godzilla . Everything had to be absolutely perfect as im a paranoid bastard aswell tongue.png ,My engine has just been sent over which was finished up by Mark Jacobsen at Godzilla Motorsports over in QLD.

This is the old engine in the car, Just got fitted up so all the welding could be done for the pipework while theres an RB in the car, So after the bay goes for a respray all the piping is already made up so the new paintwork wont get scratched etc.

Your avatar threw me a bit when I first opened the thread - looks very similar to that of the old owner! :P

Car's looking nice though mate, I think I saw your engine on the stand when I was at a certain workshop recently! What's the ETA on having it finished?

Nice build dude - you got a sweet taste for mods!

Not trying to be an asshole with this question, but asking for my personal learning... With that beefy looking engine bay and all those modifications how will you avoid being targeting by police and constantly defected?

Hey mate thanks! , The car's being engineered, Basically I have approvals in permits I sent off a few months back by the DPI for literally every nut bolt and washer part on this car, Basically the plan is near the end of the build hire a DPI engineer to come through it and have a look, Sign it all off fix up what he doesn't like although Josh has a fair idea of what's legal and what isn't so obviously I'm putting stock exh / tyres / shitty tune & plumbing gate back etc before he goes over it, So once that's all signed off will be as simple as taking my car and engineering certs to pits, He's built bigger more badass GTR's then mine and gone through the exact same process just as easily!
