I'll start the ball rolling:

engine 1 - R33 s1 RB25DET - 250,000km

mods: HKS GT2835 Pro S, 555cc injectors, fmic, custom CAI, atmo catchcan, other non related mods

fuel: bp ultimate / manildra e85

power: 280rwkw / 325rwkw

oil: motul 4100 turbolight 10w40

useage: daily /light trackwork

lifespan: 3 years

failure: spun bigend bearing

comments: motor also ran 185rwkw for about 5 years prior and was from a car that was tracked in japan as far as I can tell. motor had a very hard life.

engine 2 - Stagea 25 - modded for rwd - s2 RB25DET - 70,000km

mods: HKS GT2835 Pro S, 555cc injectors, fmic, custom CAI, atmo catchcan, other non related mods

fuel: bp ultimate / manildra e85

power: 290rwkw / 325rwkw

oil: castrol edge 10w60 (98 ron) / motul 6100 15w50 (E85)

useage: daily /light trackwork

lifespan: new motor - was stock power in an auto stag till now

failure: n/a

comments: New motor has a bigger sump (26 block) and is being run on heavier oil. Tuner is same and bolton's are same. So far it is more responsive, more powerful and everything is looking positive.

lifespan: nearly 6 years (200,000km)

failure: standard servicing parts, of recent - water pump leak, internally, block has never been touched

power: 330rwkw @ 19psi, mid to high 200's @ 14psi

useage:occasional street driving, light track work

lifespan: been at least 3 years but would have been lucky to cover 2000km in that time

failure: none but the tyres don't like it, lol

comments: motor had 34,000kms when I got it 6 or so years ago, ran at 200rwkw on stock turbo until upgrade.

mods:s2 rb25det 140,000km, usual bolt ons z32 nismo 555 etc, nismo intank pump with 044 surge tank feed, hypergear tr43i turbo

fuel: caltex e85

power:307kw 17psi

oil:motul 4100 power

useage: track drift car

lifespan:2 years and still going

failure: not yet

comments: seems to be strong motor ran 2 years about 200kw, 1 year 270kw prior to this setup when was daily. Has survived a couple of track days with faulty CAS making it run lean at around mid 14s and no problems.

mods: gt3076 .82 IW, nismo 555s, 044 etc

fuel: bp98

power: at a guess 280-300rwkw

oil: usually hpr5

useage: almost every weekend with a couple of failed trackdays

lifespan: 2 yrs at over 250rwkw

failure: n/a, pulled it out to go 30det

comments:Motor never made as much power as others seamed to but never let me down, copped up to 25psi and a lot of knock along the way as i was learning to tune it myself. copped a fair bit of limiter abuse, oil pump is still going fine now on the 30. also ran for a week with a dud fuel reg and was leaning out to 15:1 under full load. when pulled down the pistons had very slight det damage but bottom end is otherwise perfect and will probably be used again when i eventually sell it.

mods: R33 Series 2 RB25DET, Internally gated .82a/r GT3076R, Splitfire coilpacks, Nismo 555cc Injectors, Walbro 500hp fuel pump, GTS Link ECU, 600x300x76 generic intercooler, Trust PEII Exhaust, custom dump pipe and intake/intercooler piping, 4" K&N pod filter.

fuel: Mobil Synergy 8000 (E10) and BP Ultimate at different times

power: 270kw in 2006-2009, 301kw @ hubs at 17-18psi highest in early 2009, ranged from 284rwkw (lowest reading after raising boost to 17psi, on a rolling road dyno similar to DD) up to that highest figure depending on dyno, boost and day

useage: Occasional street driving, light track work and some drags

lifespan: Installed GT3076R and first tune for 270kw at ~100,000km in 2006

failure: No failure - stripped big turbo etc from motor just before 200,000km as I felt like time for a change and had someone keen to buy my old turbo, injectors etc in mid 2011. Motor is still running fine with a stock turbo back on it.

comments: Motor had 61,000kms when I got it 8 or so years ago, ran at 200rwkw on stock turbo until upgrade at 100,000km.

mods: R33 Series 2 RB25DET, Internally gated .82a/r GT3076R @ 17/18psi, Splitfire coilpacks, Nismo 555cc Injectors, Walbro 500hp fuel pump, Link G4 GTS/GTR ECU, Blitz LM FMIC, HKS Hi-Power Silent Exhaust, custom downpipe, 4inch intake, Simota 4inch pod

fuel: Mobil Synergy 8000

power: 285rwkw on a dyno with a dodgy wideband. Maxxed out the injectors. Retuned to more sensible Duty's and felt quite a healthy increase of butt dyno power, yet to re-dyno so will update soon.

useage: daily driven, and driven relatively hard. and regularly tracked

oil: Royal Purple 10w40 with royal purple oil filters and Mocal 13row oil cooler.

lifespan: Still going strong. No oil usage or dodgy sounds.

failure: squeaky brakes

comments: bought @ 47,000km stock, modded to 200rkw, tracked hard. Installed GT30 @ 80,000km, (87,000km now) still tracked hard.

I guess its a good indication to Garrett's turbos too. Over 100,000km on two cars that arent driven like nanas ever.

Poke poke poke....

I want this thread to thrive! I want to get the Stag to 300kwatw, so this thread delivers.

I'm really only lacking turbo and injectors but don't know whether to go the 3071 (unlikely but would love the response) 3076 (likely) or HG G3 or SS2? (i think?[quite possible]).

I'm forever switching and changing so I'll be watching this thread with interest.

Interest! Interest! Yep watching this with interest, the only thing stopping me from the Kando is I have to go external gate - all the hassles of plumbing and I already got my neww JJR front/dump fitted, which will need to have the dump modified if I do go Kando... And 'jet something' mentioned a link (in another Garret turbo thread) from the US where u can get the GT3076R delivered for $1300...A superior product cheaper than a Hypergear..?? Good to go
