2012 SAU-Vic EGM/Committee Elections

Location: Garage Cafe, Carlton

Time: 7:30PM

Date: Wednesday 15th Feb

The 2012 SAU Vic elections will be held via EGM at the February Club Meeting on Wednesday 15th February 2012

At this meeting, the new Committee for 2012 will be elected. All current Committee members will step down on 15/02/2012. All Committee positions are up for voting and nomination.

However it will only be the Executive Committee who gets voted in on the night of the EGM by the existing member base.

The Executive committee will then pick the general committee as they see fit from the members who are nominated here.

It is wholly the duty of the Executive Committee to pick, add, delete, and change the General Committee as they see fit.

Nominations can only be made by financial members of SAU-Vic.

Please note that the General Committee does not need to be nominated here to be selected...

However please use this thread as a good opportunity to make yourself known to the new Executive Committee so as they can pick their General Committee quickly.

If you would like to be involved on the Committee, please nominate yourself. If you think someone else would be great in a Committee role - please nominate them.

For a nomination to be valid it must be seconded by a current Club Member and the person must accept the nomination.

Don't be scared - this is a great way to get more involved with your club. The Committee is currently structured as such:

Executive Committee roles:

President

Vice President

Secretary

Treasurer

Again, this is a great way to be a part of your club. All current financial members are eligible.

All committee members have to stand down and be re-nominated and re-elected - so everyone has the ability to be involved.

Please post any queries or nominations in this thread.

Alternativly nominations can be sent to [email protected]

All nominations and seconding will need to be finalisted 48 hours prior to the EGM on Wednesday15th February 2012 to give the Committee due time to make arrangements for the meeting

The current positions are:

President

John Richardson

Vice President

Ash Cosgriff

Secretary

Dan Hall

Treasurer

Ross Brown

Location of the meeting To Be Advised

For Motorsport Director - Ryan Bell, if he is taking nominations.

I will second Scott's nomination as a helper.

I'd love to stay on the motorsport committee, and also want to get a bit more involved, so will put my hand up for a newsletter role, writer/editor - not stressed.

That being said, I live in Shepparton area so getting down to meetings is harder, but I will try to get there when I can...

Thanks Scott and Anna.

Anna we can skype it up. Driving to and from Kat is a bit extreme.

Dedication ;) lol

Skype would be good - make things so much easier! If that's the case, put me wherever :)

    • my current daily - BiTurbo Diesel SQ5 8R with a remap and some light cosmetic mods. Which is sitting in front of my old daily that hasn’t been driven in 7 years now, home to numerous redbacks no doubt. MK4 Golf GTI with a boser hood extension, air ride airbag suspension, factory RHD Xenon’s from the Japanese R32 and stubby electric mirrors (also from Japan) sitting on custom made 18x10” Work Meisters for the golf’s bolt pattern and offset. one day I’ll revive it as a project, pull the engine out, put some forged bits in, chuck a big turbo on it and tune it to somewhere around 250kw and call it a barn find to make millions off YouTube views. Till then, it is a good breeding home for redbacks and the boot is good for storing my Christmas tree for 11 months of the year.
    • Thanks for jumping in guys, suggested @Sbluatx post here for help. Was hoping one of the guys with a RWD stages could confirm if the tank was the same as the AWD one
    • I got another MAF and installed it. Idle misfire was still present. Finally got the tank low enough to refuel and did so. Did a short drive to warm the car up and no issues, pretty short drive. Going to attempt soon to take a longer drive to see. I don't think the MAF fixed it if anything, definitely thinking it was fuel related. As soon as I put fresh fuel in the car felt so much better. But, still need a longer test drive to verify. I'll report back once done.  I'm definitely going to be getting monitoring and tuning parts soon as my next upgrade (decided on the link after talking with my tuner), just been real tight with just purchasing the car and sudden onset of issues. I've also ordered a new exhaust stud kit and gasket to fix that obvious problem. Once it's back up to par I'll start with the goodies
    • Meant it’s 2WD. And my tank is cracked.
