Rb25 With Vct Vs With Aftermarket Cams

Which is better, running a RB25 with the VCT and one exhaust aftermarket cam or running a intake and exhaust aftermarket cam?

Goal would be 350 rwhp and good responsiveness.

If your goal is only 350rwhp then just keep the VCT and don't worry about cams. I have VCT cams 270deg with 9.0mm of lift, but these would be too big if your goal is only 350rwhp.

what cams and where did you get 270 deg vct cams from.

HKS have an rb25det exhaust cam (step 1/ss-cam) in a 264 duration with 9.0mm of lift which is VCT compatible. I'm thinking about getting their 256IN/8.8mm and 264EX/9.0mm step 1 drop-in cam combo for my engine but I've read somewhere that apparently those particular cams are discontinued now? Can anyone please confirm?
