How to remove R34 shift knob?

I know it seems like a simple thing to do, but for those who have replaced the standard R34 shift knob with an aftermarket one, does it just screw off counter-clockwise? or do I need to remove the leather gear boot and middle console to unscrew anything?

If it's just a screw off thing, then I guess I'll have to use a bit more 'force'

It just screws off counter clockwise, use a rag to get some more grip.

My avatar has pretty much always had the lights in it, current one has LESS emphasis on the lights though Was thinking of going back to the old

they are really tight the first time you screw them

Yeh thats tru. Mine is SOO loose, but the ones at work are really hard. btw, nice avartar Karl.
