any info? also at what aspeed/revs does the torque converter lock up?

to put it simply

- when they feel like it. So far, Ive not found any special combo. The closest ive found is on the free way, at about 100km/h, keep in below 10 vac and it will lock up.

Otherwise....nothing else really.

my late 96 auto s1 stagea has 4.3 diff gears front and back, and i highly doubt they have been changed from stock. gtr's have 4.11 gears and gts-4 has the same 4.3 as stageas.

i know about the diff ratios, the mfg nameplate gives that. It is the gearbox ratios i want. any ideas please?

sorry mate for some reason i presumed diff gear ratios, and my diff code on the firewall says rc40 and its 4.3 so i dont know if the plate means the ratio or its just a part no. wacko.gif

Can someone please work out the top speeds in each gear? Just need it to help me decide if i should get a speed cut defender or not.

alex, u need to measure the tyre diameter, especially if u have non factory. idont think my speedo is accurate, thats y iwanted the ratios.
