hey all,

in a little bit of a pickle at the moment,

on tuesday i installed my new stereo in my 33, all was going well, got everything working fine, turned the alarm back on and pressed the unlock button on my key and it beeped at me 8 times in a row, which is weird cause its never done that after ive disconnected and reconnected the battery, thought nothing of it, went to start the car, now this is where im lost, the motor turns over perfectly, fuel pump is pumping fuel but the thing just wont fire. i dont know if ive tripped the alarm or something, i just dont understand why it wont start as the only thing i changed was the stereo.

if anyone has a similar experience or can shed some light on my situation please do, i think ive maybe tripped the immobiliser somehow which is stopping the thing from starting, last night i disconnected the battery, turned the ignition to start and pumped the throttle a few times hoping that it will reset the comp. ill try starting it again tonight but if that doesn't work ill be calling an auto eleky, but hopefully someone here can help me out

cheers
mitch

PS: mods if you think this should be somewhere else please move it but i thought it relates to stereo and alarms

Was heading out the door to lunch, sorry for the short reply tongue.gif

What kind of alarm is it? Sounds like you have tripped an immobiliser and aren't getting any spark...
