hey guys

ive done some searching but im not sure about the answers i found.

im after a straight answer if possible :S

i just bought my GTR and the steering is heavy above 60-70kms. the hicas light isnt always on, sometimes comes on for a second when im going around round abouts and sharp corners.

do i just need to lock out the hicas? or a wheel alignment?

if it helps its an 89 r32 gtr

cheers for the help

hey man

i would start off with the HICAS diagnostic test (http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/HICAS-Diagnostic-t22193.html)
if that comes up fine..... get it checked out ....... hicas light is meant to be off .... get that checked out ye...... when my hicas was doing that in old car i reset the ecu..... dunno if that will help you but if keeps going.... take back to where you got it.......

HICAS - My R32 had very heavy steering when the electric HICAS pump died... Remove it with a locking kit and it should fix the problem. smile.gif

How much heavier? As the steering will get a little heavier at higher speeds, by design.
