im after the part no. from CP Pistons for the forged piston set to suit a rb30 bottom end and rb26 head, i know spool imports sell them but im looking to see if i can get them from the USA as the rb26 pistons from cp are almost half the price from the US compared to australian shops, so im hoping the cp's for rb30det are cheaper as well if i can confirm the part no.
If u happen to have the part no. can u also mention what size they are, 20 thou oversize, etc or whatever? cheers |

ive had a search on google etc and nothing except the links to aussie shops for rb30det pistons, im wondering if they are custom made and not off the shelf items from CP? i searched the sports compact list on CP's website and still nothing unless they are from another engine and fit the 26/30 setup?

thanks mate ill see what i can dig up with that spec sheet info sorry to reply twice in a row but i found a part no. while searching the forged pistons thread in this section, someone qouted part no. CP-RS6610-3406-0 these come up on google as 1993-1998 Supra NA piston set, so i dunno if its correct or not but thats about as much as info as i could come up with at moment. |

560rwhp 26 not enough for you hey Brad? that motor is still the same setup im building another rb26/30 at moment to go into a track gtst hopefully and then eventually put the 26/30 in the stagea and the 560hp engine in the track car im getting a big boost tune done soon on the stagea motor so hopefully things goto plan lol, its only on 18psi and pump fuel at moment so its just chugging along nicely ive always wanted to do a 26/30 and i just bought a low comp rb26 complete for cheap so im sussing out options and i hate looking for rb30det specific parts, i dont wanna end up with the wrong pistons etc from accidently buying rb30et ones. the initial motor will probably be stock 30 bottom end and limited to 400hp but i plan on building a 30 bottom end on the side for the stagea as 400hp just wont cut it in the heavy car. Have u got that gt35r on yours yet? how much power are u making and what sort rpm are u revving too? |

Nah no 35r on yet, got a fair bit of fabrication to do as it's not exactly a bolt on affair
At the moment it's making 245rwhp @ 4600rpm with rev limiter set to 6800rpm (I've got forgies but only standard rods for now). Will be limiting it to 400rwhp with the GT35R until I get used to it and have the cash to pull the motor out, whack some new rods in and get it all balanced. Even if I do push it further I think it would only be for dyno days etc as that much power in my little car is going to be pretty silly.. 3L torque would be wonderful in the stag that's for sure! -------------------- ![]() ![]() |
