What about a L28 ex 280ZX?
To fit a RB, I'm told that all that is required is a R31 cross-member. You might need a custom gearbox cross-member. -------------------- STRESS - the confusing emotion created when the mind overrides the body's basic desire to bash the crap out of some jumped up little turkey who's been asking for a knee in the cobblers for the last six months

will the fuel injection off a L24E fit onto the L28 block.. The L28 is already fuel injected - doesn't need the L24 stuff.-------------------- STRESS - the confusing emotion created when the mind overrides the body's basic desire to bash the crap out of some jumped up little turkey who's been asking for a knee in the cobblers for the last six months

79 on 280ZX was EFI in Oz and if your looking at n/a, the best bits are N42, but the block has to be modified to front sump as all zeds are rear sump pans.
Don't be fooled, the old L28, makes good power if modified a bit. A stock RB30E is rated at 114kW at the fly and an L28E is rated at about 103kW so there isn't heaps in it. -------------------- If the left lane can go past the right lane, they're in the WRONG lane!

RB bolts straight onto r30 crossmember wit RB mounts. no probs. hardest thing is gearbox mount.... then tailshaft.... -------------------- "im not the smartest peanut in the turd"

RB bolts straight onto r30 crossmember wit RB mounts. no probs. hardest thing is gearbox mount.... then tailshaft.... This is true, but there is no clearance from the sump to the x-member. Thats what i had found in my case. So you can do it this way, it does work, but no one will engineer it. So technically you will never be able to register that car. -------------------- Respect is 1320 feet away..
