What is so special about these motors?

What is everything that is different over a stock motor?

If you had 13K to spare that engine looks brand new... DROOOOLS!!!!! You would be able to build quite a nice engine for 13K, however u may have a hard time finding an N1 Block as I understand it. Is it a standard N1 Engine or does it have gogo bits in it?

Thanks for the comments guys.

Nissan produced the N1 engine specifically for motorsport applications.

These engines are not rebuilt RB26's - They are brand new engines, straight from Nissan.

Some of the differences between a standard RB26 and the N1 engine include:

- Stronger N1 pistons
- N1 camshafts
- N1 block
- N1 uprated oil pump
- N1 uprated water pump

Currently these engines are extremely difficult to find due to a supply shortage from Nissan.

N1 engines are intended for specific motorsport applications where restrictions are placed on engine types and modifications allowed.

If comparing a run of the mill engine rebuild to the price of an N1 engine remember that the N1 engine is [b]brand new[/u], and if you were to add the individual cost of some of the brand new components included with these engines to your typical rebuild, the cost would increase significantly.

(ie N1 RB26 blocks are worth ~$4,000 new - and a new Nissan RB26 crankshaft is ~$1000)

If any of you have any questions please feel free to call or pm smile.gif

Regards,

Steve

If I had the $$ to swap out the RB25det for an RB26DETT, I'd want a brand new engine like this. No issues with second hand mystery halfcuts :)

Do they come with any factory warranty from Nissan?

Billy, thats really not an easy question to answer as there are too many variables to consider.

Realistically, and N1 can certainly handle more power than your standard RB26, and the fact the engine is BRAND new and built to be stronger than standard gives you an ideal base for modification.

Steve

N1 engines don't have a factory warranty im afraid.

We run them in all our Targa race GTR's and they withstand some serious abuse.

Not at all Billy.

The N1 engine is simply a stronger engine, designed to withstand use in racing and motorsport applications.
